Fort Portal the “Tourist City “of Uganda is located at the footstep of the Ruwenzori mountains between Lake Albert and Lake George. The close surrounding is shaped of fertile green rolling hills, 52 crater lakes, rainforest, tea and coffee plantations.
The people of Uganda have a diverse ethnical background with more than 60 languages. Uganda with its warm and welcoming people were voted in 2017 by InterNations as the friendliest country.
Uganda is known to have one of the highest diversities in flora and fauna in Africa. It is home of gorillas, tree-lions and the “big 5s” which makes is to a unique travel destination.

















Queen Elizabeth National Park
Only 2 hours drive from Kemrose, Queen Elizabeth National Park is home to 618 bird species which is the 6th highest in the world. In the southern part you can see Tree Climbing lions which only can be found in Uganda and Rwanda. Queen Elizabeth Natiol Park was founded 1952 and is now the most visited national park in Uganda

Semuliki National Park & Wildlife Reserve
Founded in 1932, Semuliki National Park is the only true lowland tropical forest in East Africa, with only 1-2 hours drive from Fort Portal. It is hosting 441 bird species. The great Ituri Forest is one of Africa's most ancient and biodiverse forests, with an impressive age of 12,000-18,000 years of age. It is also home of diverse ethnic groups, which are farmers, cattle keepers and pygmies.

Kibale National Park
Kibale National Park is only 30 minutes drive from Kemrose. It is one of the last remaining expanses to contain both lowland and montane forest. It has the highest number and diversity of primates in Africa and is home to the most endangered primates.

Rwenzori Mountains National Park
Also know as the "Mountains of the Moon" is only about 1-2 hours drive from Fort Portal. Mount Margherita is the third highest mountain (5,109 m) in Africa. Its unique and pristine vegetation attracts thousands of visitors every year. For experienced alpinists Mt Margherita is a must go destination which can't be missed on the bucket list. The Rwenzori Mountain National Park was listed as a UNESCO world heritage site in 1994 as well as a Ramsar site in 2008.

Murchison Falls National Park
Murchison Falls National Park, also know as Kabalega National Park, are only 6 hours form Forts Portal. Situated at the end of the Albertine Rift Valley, it is the oldest and largest national park of Uganda. One of the main attractions are the Murchison falls. The river Nile falls through a gorge, 7 meter wide and 45m high

Bwindi Forest National Park
Only 5-6 hours drive from Kemrose, the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is located in the south-west of Uganda and inhabits half the endangered mountain gorillas. Next to Rwanda this is the only accessible place to visit these rare primates and see them in close reach.
